Sunday Brunch Cocktail Treat

Ok, What you've been waiting for...

While many people presume the quintessential Wall Street cocktail is either the martini or scotch the younger generation is experimenting more with the other brown liquors, like bourbon and rye, says Erin Ward, Corporate Beverage Director and National Buyer at Alicart Restaurant Group, which includes Carmine's and Virgil's Real BBQ.

So Ward, again, created a cocktail for us. This time she focused on that "Rye Whiskey trend," that she is loving.

New Fashioned Wall Streeter:

In a mixing glass add

            • 2 Brandied Cherries
            • 1 Tsp Brown Raw Sugar
            • 1 Dash Peychaud Bitters

Muddle

Then add

            • 2.5 Ounces Woodford Rye Whiskey
            • ½ Ounce Dows 10 year Tawny Port

Fill glass with ice stir until chilled

Strain over a large chunk of ice in a rocks glass

Garnish With a large orange twist & brandied cherry
