The benefits of membership hailed at chamber mixer
SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber made sure every member received a present this holiday season.
At the final mixer of 2017 Thursday, the chamber announced it was adding a new member benefit — reduced cost for t Air Methods Advantage air ambulance plan.
As explained by Eric Bejarano, with Air Methods, the plan offers helicopter medical transport for no out of pocket expense. Cost to chamber members is $30 per year for a family and $15 per year for an individual, compared to $40 for individuals and $75 for families for nonchamber members.
“The staff and board (of the chamber) will continue working on adding these benefits,” said Graham County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Pat O’Donnell. “We want our members to know there’s more to being a part of the chamber than just being a name in a book.” Other benefits offered to members of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce include 10 percent off insurance plans through Emil Crockett Insurance Agency and free notary service.
Attendees at the mixer also had the opportunity to view the recently renovated chamber offices and visitor’s center, as well as hear from Laura Villa, program manager for the Area Agency on Aging for SEAGO — the Southeastern Arizona Governments Organization.
SEAGO serves Cochise, Graham, Greenlee and Santa Cruz counties, and provides funding for service providers in those areas, such as SEACU. SEACUS provides care-giving services as well as congregate meals, Meals on Wheels and operates the senior centers in Graham and Greenlee counties.
